If you hang out at Real Food sites, you have probably heard about Food, Inc. It’s the summer of the food movie, and this one promises to raise some questions that need answering. First, let me send you to a couple sites:

You’ll notice I’ve focused so far on reaction to the movie instead of its content. You’ll hear lots about the movie’s content from other sources.

But think about this: when a new documentary hits theatres, do you rush out and stand in line for tickets? The ticket line for my showing of Food, Inc. was 1/4 mile long, and no one left the line before reaching the window. When the normal run of your film is over, do you demand more showings from the theatre manager? When my showing was full, and the next two were sold out, people demanded to see the manager and asked for more showings. The film has been held over in my city due to public demand!

People are ready for this message. They need to hear it and for the first time, it seems they are finally listening. When Food, Inc. comes to your town, don’t go alone. Find a friend who needs to hear the message, buy them a ticket and take them out for a fun night on the town.

This post is part of Real Food Wednesday, hosted by Cheeseslave.
