I have been making homemade sourdough bread for a couple months. It is definitely sandwich quality sourdough, which I thought was unattainable, too. I accidentally put 5 cups of starter in my first two tries and my loaves flopped over the edges, but they were very light. The last time I made it I used 4 cups and it was a little denser than I like. Here's the link:http://myblessedhome.blogspot.com/2009/03/how-to-make-amazing-bread.html I also used the honey/molasses update she has at the end.

Thanks for your blog! I really enjoy your perspective!
