This is my delicious share of raw, whole milk from my dairy farmer. Look at where that cream line is – all the way down at the base of the handle!
Just feeling so very blessed and wanted to share.

So jealous! I have to find a new source now that Whole Foods stopped selling raw milk in South Florida. Starting to go through withdrawal…

That is a beautiful gallon of real creamline milk! We’ve had more cream in ours lately, and recently my co-op started selling quarts of cream too. Those weren’t available before, so I am stocking up and freezing for the winter. There must be something about late summer/fall where cream production is increased, but I haven’t seen any info about it.

Oh how fabulous! I’m gonna miss the extra ‘summer’ cream now that the grass isn’t growing around here.

The folks running that local farm of yours are wonderful aren’t they!
Did you know that (most) cows produce more cream as the weather cools?
Our cows are way up too! It isn’t so yellow this time of year but the volume makes up for it.
Enjoy!!

They are wonderful in many, many ways. The care they take of their animals is exceptional. I didn’t know about the higher fat content, but it seems to make sense – cold weather and all. Of course, here in the southeastern US we don’t get much cold weather.
