Before the ball dropped, I did some research on my site. I’ve been blogging for six years, but I’m still learning about it everyday. I dug up these interesting stats:
My most viewed 2009 posts:
Blue Hubbard Squash Casserole 723 views
Nutritional Healing for Allergic Dermatitis 621 views
A Cool, Pennywise Bowl 586 views
Recipe Redux: Coffee Cake 389 views
Swine flu: Stop and think – UPDATED 311 views
July was my biggest month, and on July 23 alone, the site had 367 visitors! Most of them read A Cool, Pennywise Bowl but some dropped over to look at Huh. Real food at Starbucks eh? It’s funny, that cool, pennywise bowl almost didn’t get posted. It’s such a no-brainer meal. I guess with blogging one never knows!
I want to thank some people for providing links to my site from theirs. Most of my readers visited as a result of The Nourishing Gourmet and Kelly the Kitchen Kop. Nourished Kitchen’s 7 Underappreciated Real Food Bloggers gave me a real boost in readership and introduced me to Ren, Raine, Stacy, Deanne and Nicole, bloggers I now read daily and appreciate!
I’d also like to thank Zachary Adam Cohen, because if I had never met him, all these stats would mean exactly zero to me!

Congrats on a good year, Peggy! Your starbucks post is my favorite.
I liked the pennywise bowl, too.
I feel I always learn from your “smart” posts.

Hi Peggy! I love your site and am glad to have made your acquaintance too. I hope this year brings more blogging, getting the word out about real food, and blessings to us all. Hey, you are in Centralia – that’s nearish Seattle. My brother lives in Redmond, although I know that’s a little ways from you. We live in Boise. I’ve always loved the western Washington and Oregon areas, it’s so beautiful there and there are lots of natural and organic foods available in those parts. Boise’s still a fledgling in the sustainable food movement, but I hope someday it will match the efforts of WA and OR. Keep up the great work!

I visited Centralia when I was a kid. About 4 years ago we moved from central Oregon (Sisters, to be exact) to middle Tennessee. It’s sure a different world down here. I miss the Pacific Northwest something fierce!
